Dr. Bernice Makafui Brempong is a distinguished pharmacist, entrepreneur, and policy advisor at the forefront of healthcare innovation in Ghana. She currently serves as Presidential Staffer in Charge of Health and Pharmaceuticals at the Office of the President, where she leads national policy initiatives, regulatory oversight, and strategic reforms in healthcare and pharmaceuticals. With a Doctor of Pharmacy from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, an MSc in Entrepreneurship from University College London, and a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Ghana, Dr. Brempong bridges clinical expertise with business innovation to advance sustainable healthcare solutions. Her leadership has been recognised with numerous accolades, including the 2025 Ghana Women of Excellence Silver Award and inclusion in the 2023 list of 50 Most Influential Women in Ghana. She has also contributed to key public health research and was instrumental in the adoption of Ghana’s Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Policy.
